well it seems that the issue is with RHD conversion and and the diesels used mainly. so for the murcans it should super, for us brits who barely buy jeeps at all eh, who cares.

£35k is huge money for that car. I don't see what it does better than most 20k ish diesel estates. It's not nicer inside, it's slower, tows about the same, has similar room etc etc.

Wow. I hate the Cherokee and that review was offensive. Automatic transmissions have idle creep. News flash.
Pis in the Wheaties indeed.

If it's anything like the U.S. spec 4 cylinder model, the only complaint my parents had was about the transmission. It is so bad that they wouldn't even consider getting one because of it. It is worse than a CVT. It hunts more and feels jerkier than my 20 year old 4 speed auto in my 4Runner with 180k+ miles on it. Other than that it was great.

That's funny, I thought the Brits loved Cherokees:
Oh. You meant THAT Cherokee. Whatever.

seriously his complaints are almost zero percent relatable to the us model, which i drove and liked quite a bit.

The Brits think everything American is junk, so screw them. This from a country that made so much junk until relatively recently.

The issue wasn't the creep (although many modern automatics go into neutral when stationary) but more the vibration.

they also reviewed an engine that's not available in the US

True, but it's the only relevant engine in the UK so that's the one they would logically go for. There were lots of other things they didn't like much.

yeah, just pointing out that the review might not be entirely relevant to the US guys on OPPO.
It sounds like the majority of his complaints are that it's a crappy diesel and a worse conversion to RHD.
I in no way want to say his review isn't relevant to UK or RHD market guys. Just that if anyone were considering one in the US, it would be a really, really different experience.
